Sharing

Share a capsule

Once a capsule is published, Capsules makes what you need to take it everywhere: the link, artwork sized for each platform, a short video and a poster.

Ways to share

The Share step

Share is the last step in the editor's step bar, after Publish. It opens once the capsule is published, and holds your branding, the press kit and Teasers. You can also reach it from Share & press kit on the publish screen.

The press kit

The press kit turns your capsule into eleven ready-to-post files. Download them one at a time, or choose Download all for a zip.

TikTok cover1080 × 1920PNG
LinkedIn card1200 × 627PNG

YouTube thumbnail1280 × 720PNG
Pinterest pin1000 × 1500PNG
Digital poster1600 × 2400PNG
Print poster2400 × 3600PDF

Every file shares the same look, which you choose:

  • Composition: Editorial, Image-led or Typographic.
  • Mode: Light or Dark.
  • Image: your capsule's link image or any scene's still. Typographic uses none.

Each file carries the title, a line from the capsule and its link. The line is a quote you attributed, or failing that a complete sentence from your text, never rewritten. The press kit is free.

Teaser videos

A Teaser is a 15-second video cut from your animated scenes, for Reels, TikTok and feeds. It opens on the title, plays up to three scenes, shows a quote if you want one, and ends on a card with your sign-off and the link.

9:161080 × 1920Reels, TikTok, Shorts, Stories
1:11080 × 1080Feed posts

  1. Pick a format and Light or Dark.
  2. Choose up to three animated scenes, in the order they should play.
  3. Keep the suggested quote, edit it, or clear it to skip the quote.
  4. Tick Original music for a score composed for this Teaser. Choose a mood, such as Quiet and cinematic, or describe one.
  5. Choose Make Teaser. It takes a few minutes, and appears in the list below, ready to play and download as an MP4.

A silent Teaser is free. Original music costs 2 credits, refunded if the Teaser fails. Teasers need at least one animated scene, and the capsule must be published.

Posting on each platform

Capsules doesn't post on your behalf. You download the file and post it from your own account, so you choose the caption and the moment. In the press kit, each platform has a button that shares the link or copies it for you.

Instagram
Post the feed image or a 1:1 Teaser, or the story image or a 9:16 Teaser to Stories. Instagram doesn't take links in posts, so copy the link from the press kit and add it as a link sticker on a Story, or to your bio.
TikTok
Post a 9:16 Teaser and use the TikTok cover as its cover image. Copy the link from the press kit for your bio or a comment.
YouTube
Upload a 9:16 Teaser as a Short, or a 16:9 one with the YouTube thumbnail. Put the link in the description.
X
Share on X opens a post with the title and link. Attach the X card or a 16:9 Teaser if you want more than the link preview.
LinkedIn
Share on LinkedIn shares the link with its preview. For a post that stops the scroll, attach the LinkedIn card or a 16:9 Teaser.
Facebook
Share on Facebook shares the link with its preview. The Facebook card is sized for posts.
Bluesky
Share on Bluesky opens a post with the title and link. The Bluesky card is sized for its feed.
Pinterest
Share on Pinterest pins the link. Upload the Pinterest pin image for a tall pin that links back.
Print
Print the PDF poster at 2:3, for example 24 × 36 inches. It carries the link, so people can find the capsule.

Your branding

Branding, at the top of the Share step, chooses whose mark closes the artwork and Teasers. It applies to every capsule in the space.

  • Capsules: the Capsules mark. Available on every plan.
  • Your brand: your logo, for light and dark, with or without your space's name, an accent colour, a serif or sans typeface, and a link to the capsule or your website. On Pro and Creative Lab.
  • None: no mark at all. On Pro and Creative Lab.

Accent colours that would be hard to read are left out automatically. Where a logo is missing, your space's name is used instead. White-label capsules never carry the Capsules mark.

Sharing from inside a capsule

At the end

Readers who reach the end see Share on X, Share on LinkedIn and Copy Link. Turn these off with Show share buttons on the publish screen. A capsule published before the LinkedIn button arrived gets it the next time you republish.

A line they loved

Readers can select a few words, up to 64, in any scene, and share them. They get a link that opens the capsule at that scene with the words highlighted, or a post on X with the quote. You can make these links yourself: #s2 on the end of a capsule's link opens its third scene, since scenes count from 0.

What to read next

Add a Story series link in a capsule's settings to show another published capsule from your space at its end, with its cover and Read next.

Your profile page

Your space has a public profile at app.capsules.ink/your-space, or at your own domain, listing your public capsules. Its share menu copies the link, shares to X or LinkedIn, or opens your device's share sheet. Readers subscribe at /your-space/subscribe to get your premiere emails.

Your space settings show the same share row for the profile, including an embed code for it.

More ways readers find it

  • The Capsules feed: every public capsule appears in the feed at app.capsules.ink/feed. Unlisted ones don't.
  • The showcase: tick Include in the Capsules showcase when publishing to be considered for the curated gallery. The Capsules team reviews each one.
  • The premiere email: your subscribers hear about it once, on its first publish. Choose what they get.
  • Search: public capsules are listed for search engines. See link previews and search.
  • Films: a capsule made as a Film plays as a video page, with a Download MP4 link you can post anywhere.
  • Agents: a connected agent can publish for you and hand back the link, though the press kit and Teasers are made in the editor.
